How much do your cakes cost?
Every cake is a completely custom piece of edible art, and because of that, there is no standard pricing and cakes are priced on a case by case basis. There are many factors that go into pricing a cake, which include the cost of specialty ingredients, estimated hours of baking and decorating time (which, on average is about 15 total hours), and creating and assembling any internal structures or supports.
How far in advance to I need to place my order?
A good rule of thumb is that it’s never too early to place an order! 🙂 Most people book between 3–6 months out from their event date. Because of the time it takes to order specialty ingredients, I request that orders are placed at least one month from the event date.
Do you deliver?
Yes! I currently deliver in the greater Charleston area, including Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, James Island, Johns Island, Seabrook and Kiawah Island. The delivery fee is calculated based on mileage. Delivery outside of the Charleston area is offered on a case-by-case basis.
Do you offer anything other than sculpted cakes?
Sculpted, novelty cakes are my specialty, and at this time I don’t offer traditional tiered cakes or baked goods. I do offer decorated sugar cookies on a limited basis—please contact me for more details.
What information do you need from me to give me a quote?
The basics are a) the date of the event, b) roughly how many people the cake will need to serve, c) any ideas on the cake or party theme that you’re looking for, d) if the cake needs to be delivered and the delivery address, and e) the type of cake you’re looking for (see examples below).
